• As we conclude FY 2025 and prepare for FY 2026, we aim to keep our property tax rate unchanged since 2018 by finding efficiencies rather than cutting essential services. We will maintain funding for police, fire services, roads, snow removal, and critical infrastructure. Additionally, we will invest in competitive staff wages and resources to expand parks and trails, including a new 2-acre park off Dover Hill Drive opening in September.

  • As neighboring areas apply development pressure, we must manage growth to preserve Cottonwood Heights’ unique character and quality of life. This includes overseeing redevelopment, improving traffic, attracting businesses, and fostering inclusivity for all residents.

  • We will work to maintain and increase funding for police and fire services to ensure prompt coverage; implement traffic-calming strategies and safer crossings; work with first responders to improve canyon access; and enhance emergency preparedness with better equipment, training, and outreach.

  • Affordable housing options are vital for individuals and families at all life stages. By promoting diverse, carefully designed developments while maintaining neighborhood character, we ensure both affordability and generational growth.

  • Upgrading infrastructure ensures residents’ safety and well-being without raising taxes. We’ll focus on roads, stormwater systems, parks, and other essentials while maintaining fiscal restraint to fund projects responsibly.

  • We have chosen a development partner from seven proposals and are in the process of finalizing an agreement that aligns with community goals. Going forward, we will keep residents updated on milestones and seek feedback on design elements.
